Llanmiloe School is a community school of 62 children. The term ‘village school’ conjures up a picture of happy children, a caring atmosphere and an educational climate conducive to learning. Llanmiloe School, in my opinion, is blessed with these attributes.

Our pupils are our greatest pride!

We make every effort to teach children to be polite, friendly, and helpful. We encourage children to be fit, strong and healthy with an enthusiasm for sport, music, the outdoors and for achieving their potential.

At Llanmiloe, all staff get to know the pupils very well and are able to respond to their individual needs. We like to think that we get to know the parents too. In this way parents, children and staff can work together in partnership to produce a sound basis for the pupil’s development and preparation for later life.

Outdoor learning is very important to our ethos. We regularly take groups of children into our woodlands and to the local beaches to take part in authentic and purposeful learning experiences which benefit all and develop essential life skills through active and rich experiences. Environmental concern and welfare are very important to our school. We achieved the Platinum ECO Award again in 2021. The children and staff of our Eco-Committee lead innovations throughout the school, promoting sustainability.

The school building is well maintained. The classrooms are spacious, attractive and well-designed having interactive touch screens and access to a bank of ICT devices. There is a hall for PE and drama activities which also houses our canteen. Foundation Phase pupils have free access to a purpose built outdoor area straight from their classroom

It is a school I am very proud and privileged to be involved with.

Llanmiloe School enjoys an extremely positive, friendly, and welcoming ethos and provides quality education for everyone but please don’t take my word for it, come along and see for yourselves!
